Our Neighborhoods

As a multicultural city that thrives on the harmony and diversity of its neighborhoods, Chicago embodies the values of America's heartland: integrity, hard work and community, and reflects the ideals in the social fabric of its 77 distinct neighborhoods.

It is in those communities that the Neighborhood Stabilization Program is acquiring vacant, foreclosed properties and returning them to the use for which they were originally intended - as high-quality homes and apartments that are affordable, attractive and energy efficient.

Following are details about the neighborhoods where NSP houses are available, why those neighborhoods were selected, and the appealing features they contain.
